     I had my GRAB driver (Malaysian Uber) let me off, so I could walk through the tourist spot - Petaling Street, where you find local food, fake watches and hookers. At the end of the road, i see CHOCHA FOODSTORE's bright minty ceramic tiles glowing. 

 

     Dining Modern-Asian cuisine under the historical roof of an pre-WWll unit. While the world is doing Asian-fusion, which is more likely to put Asian ingredient into French based cooking. Here at CHOCHA FOODSTORE, puts western techniques into Chinese-malay dishes. Stir fried noodles with a little pasta twist, stir fried salad with lemon butter cream... Strong Asian root cuisine with a dash of modern charm. To me, smart, simple and solid soul food. 

 

 ↑Minty ceramic tiles that you will not miss.

 

 ↑Bit hip and bit trend, and a bit calm sense of zen. 

 

 

↑Dining at a Semi-outdoor seat, astonishing mint glowing color.  

 

 

↑CFC / AYAM GORENG = Fried Chicken, my favorite Malay-food. Extra light crispy batter on the oustside, juicy sweet tender meat inside, accomplished by sweet and soul tomato chutney, pineapple salsa. do not miss the intensive fried crispy lemon basil on top. Must Try!

 

↑Crispy Chili Squid with Grilled Lemon, Nuom Cham sauce ( sweet fish sauce)

 

 

↑Cured Fish Rice, slightly pan-seared cured mackerel, mix the herb butter, fresh and sour dressing evenly into the rice, damn...

 

↑Brussels Sprout Leaves, slightly fried and dressing confit garlic crust and mouth moisting lemon butter cream. A brilliant twist of Chinese style stir-fried salad, has become my favorite of all. 

 

↑Sticky Duck, strong soy sauce brined flavor. Try cutting with the knife and folk but eventually you'll get your hands on it. 

 

 

 

↑Tableware presents tells a great story as well, vintage, clarify, impactive color and soothing balance. The lighting inside is well designed as is. 

 

↑Aglio Olio Duck, garlicy pasta style stir fried noodle.

 

↑Pan Seared Barramundi. The thick fillet chunk maintains the tender texture of barramundi. Strong gingery and herby green sauce fusions the east and west cooking technique. levitates the dish to my top list.

 

 

↑Ulam Raja Creme Brulee, Dehydrated Ulam Raja, Thai Basel and Honey Comb. An unique combination of asain herb and french dessert, however, preserves a bitter-sweet Chinese style flavor. 

 

 

↑Wide selection of tea, beverage. 

 

↑Huge sharing table, comfy and cozy at night as well.
